Greek Air Force jet crashes into sea

A Greek Air Force fighter jet has crashed in the Ionian Sea south of Andravida Island.

Both pilots managed to eject before the aircraft hit the sea, Greek TV channel ERT reports.

An American-made F-4 fighter jet crashed 25 nautical miles south of Andravidas airport. A search and rescue operation is underway with the participation of helicopters and coast guard vessels.
