Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Afghan NGO join forces for humanitarian impact
Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, held a meeting with Afghan women’s rights activist and researcher Zarqa Yaftali in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
During the discussion, Aliyeva highlighted the Foundation’s longstanding commitment to social development, Caliber.Az reports per state media.
“The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been implementing numerous significant projects in education, healthcare, and social support for many years, contributing to the creation of equal opportunities for vulnerable segments of the population both regionally and internationally,” she said.
The meeting focused on potential collaboration between the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Women and Children Legal Research Foundation. Aliyeva praised the Foundation led by Yaftali, noting that its work has provided over 100,000 women and children with access to education and legal protection.
The sides emphasized their shared commitment to global humanitarian initiatives, highlighting the critical importance of safeguarding women’s rights and ensuring sustainable access to education.
