Iran signals firm diplomatic stance ahead of Muscat negotiations
Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has outlined Tehran’s expectations ahead of the upcoming negotiations in Muscat, emphasizing the country’s commitment to diplomacy based on equality, respect, and national interests.
According to Caliber.Az, Araghchi shared his remarks in a post on the social media platform X shortly before the talks were set to begin.
“Iran enters diplomacy with open eyes and a steady memory of the past year. We engage in good faith and stand firm on our rights. Commitments need to be honoured. Equal standing, mutual respect and mutual interest are not rhetoric—they are a must and the pillars of a durable agreement,” he wrote.
It was previously reported that Araghchi would head Iran’s delegation at the negotiations in Muscat.
