Kazakh president confident Azerbaijan to strengthen Central Asian cooperation
Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has welcomed Azerbaijan as a full-fledged participant of the Central Asian Consultative Format.
“Today we made a historic decision on the accession of Azerbaijan to our format as a full-fledged participant,” Tokayev stated at the 7th Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia in the “Central Asia + Azerbaijan” format, per Azertag.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence that Azerbaijan, in its new capacity, will make a substantial contribution to strengthening regional cooperation.
For the record, the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in the format “Central Asia+Azerbaijan” is being held at the Congress Center in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, with the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
