Kazakhstan dismisses claims on sending military equipment to Ukraine
Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Defence has said that the information on the alleged shipment of military equipment from Kazakhstan to Ukraine is false.
Earlier, a video appeared in social networks showing the transportation of armoured personnel carriers and trucks by railway. The authors of the publication claimed that the recording was made in Alma-Ata, and the equipment paid for by Western funds is on its way to Ukraine, TASS reports.
"The information disseminated in social networks about the alleged shipment of Kazakh military equipment to Ukraine does not correspond to reality. The video is archived, as the armoured vehicles were sent for scheduled repairs, the military equipment is currently in storage," the statement reads.
The ministry also recalled that Kazakhstan introduced a ban on the export of weapons and military equipment from August 27, 2022.
