Kazakhstan invites Vietnam to explore opportunities of Middle Corridor
Kazakhstan has invited Vietnamese companies to explore opportunities along the Trans-Caspian international transport route, known as the Middle Corridor.
According to Azertag, citing a statement from the Kazakh Government, Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin made this offer during a meeting with Vietnam's Minister of Industry and Trade, Nguyen Hong Zien.
Zhumangarin highlighted that utilizing the Middle Corridor could expedite Vietnamese exports from East to West by 3-4 times compared to sea routes, resulting in significant cost reductions.
"We consider the Middle Corridor as the most efficient route between Asia and Europe. Additionally, we propose leveraging the capacities of the Kazakh-Chinese terminal in Lianyungang seaport and the dry port in Xi'an," Zhumangarin emphasized.
The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor) spans across China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Türkiye, and European countries.
