Kazakhstan redirects oil flows to Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan corridor and China
Kazakhstan has approved a reorientation of international oil flows from the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) system toward Samara, the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) corridor, and China, the press service of KazTransOil reported.
According to the company, the adjustments in export volumes for December 2025 compared with the original transportation schedule approved by the Kazakh Ministry of Energy are as follows:
-
Atyrau–Samara: increase of 232,000 tons
-
China: an increase of 72,000 tons
-
Aktau port (toward Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan): increase of 58,000 tons
KazTransOil also confirmed that during December 2025, it will provide oil producers with the opportunity to temporarily store oil in tank farms under responsible custody.
“This approach ensures greater flexibility in shipment schedules, optimises pumping operations, and guarantees uninterrupted deliveries through the main pipeline system,” the company said.
