Kremlin spokesperson says NATO "de facto" at war with Russia
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has accused NATO of being involved in a war with Russia, in reponse to the statements made by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who insisted that the alliance is not at fighting with Moscow.
Peskov emphasised that NATO’s support for Ukraine, both direct and indirect, has made it "de facto" a participant in the ongoing conflict. He argued that the alliance’s actions are clear and do not require further proof, Caliber.Az reports via TASS.
He pointed out that NATO's actions, including military assistance to Kyiv, demonstrate its active engagement in the conflict, regardless of official declarations.
In a separate matter, Peskov addressed recent statements by US President Donald Trump regarding a potential summit between Russia, the US and Ukraine. Peskov stated that no progress had been made on the proposed trilateral talks.
He responded to reports about Trump’s suggestion that the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy could occur "relatively soon." According to Peskov, no advancements have been made on organising such a summit.
