McKinsey executive praises Azerbaijan for COP29's successful organization
An executive consultant at the renowned McKinsey & Company has praised Azerbaijan's efforts in hosting last year's UN climate conference (COP29).
Yermolai Solzhenitsyn, a partner at the prestige management consulting firm, took part in a panel discussion held within the framework of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD) annual meeting, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
He noted that hosting COP29 has strengthened Azerbaijan’s international image and enhanced its position as an attractive region for investment.
“I believe Azerbaijan has achieved a very successful result by hosting COP29. This event not only contributed to advancing global climate discussions but also created an opportunity for broader exposure to the region, allowing people to discover its appeal in terms of tourism and investment,” Solzhenitsyn stated during the panel discussion dedicated to Azerbaijan, titled "A New Path to Green Development and Connectivity.”
