Moscow thanks Baku for assisting in evacuation of Russian citizens from Iran
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan’s leadership for facilitating the rapid evacuation of Russian citizens from Iran amid a complex regional situation during a phone call with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov on March 3
The leaders also discussed current issues in Azerbaijan–Russia trade and economic cooperation, noting positive growth in bilateral trade, Caliber.Az reports via the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
They reviewed the progress of joint projects across sectors of mutual interest.
Both prime ministers highlighted the significance of the March 2 visit to Baku by the Russian government delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister and welcomed the agreement to hold the next session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in Azerbaijan in April.
Taking the opportunity, Asadov congratulated Mishustin on his 60th birthday, wishing him continued success in public service.
