No pressure on Garabagh Armenians by Azerbaijan, says researcher
Researcher at the Institute of Development and Diplomacy of ADA University, political scientist Anastasia Lavrina, in an interview with Al-Jazeera TV channel, spoke about measures for the reintegration of Armenians living in the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan.
As Azertag reports, Lavrina noted that the Azerbaijani government has provided guarantees to Armenian residents within the framework of the Constitution and laws of the country. According to her, meetings with representatives of the Armenian residents of Garabagh are a good opportunity to discuss social and public issues.
She added that the statements of the Armenian side about the alleged oppression and pressure on Armenians in Azerbaijan are disinformation.
“Azerbaijan is a tolerant and multinational country, where 30 thousand Armenians still live. The Armenian church has been preserved in Baku, there is no pressure on the Armenians,” she added.
