OTS Media Forum explores digital collaboration among Turkic states
The second panel session titled “Cooperation Opportunities of OTS Member States in the Digital Media Environment” was held as part of the Media Forum of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
Moderated by Elmira Musazada, Editor-in-Chief of Azerbaijan’s Caspian International Broadcasting Company (CBC TV), the session featured speeches by Sevil Mikayilova, Member of Parliament and member of the Supervisory Board of the Media Development Agency; Makpal Ukenova, Director of the “Balapan” TV channel of the “Kazakhstan” Republican Television and Radio Corporation; Alptekin Cihangir İşbilir, Press Advisor of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan; and others, AZERTAC reports.
The speakers shared their views on developing cooperation mechanisms within the digital media sphere, focusing on collaborative content production and enhancing information exchange.
The panel underscored the importance of establishing flexible and trust-based cooperation platforms among OTS member countries to address rapid transformations in the digital information landscape.
The discussions highlighted that the implementation of joint digital initiatives, efficient management of information flows, and strengthened networks among media organizations could significantly enhance communication capabilities across the region and contribute to the formation of a cohesive and dynamic media space.
Additionally, Eldar Rasulov, Media Relations Manager of the Azerbaijani operating company WUF13, delivered a presentation on “Opportunities for the Media at the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).” He noted that the World Urban Forum, to be held in Baku in 2026, will be one of the world’s largest platforms for discussions on sustainable urban development, modern urbanism, and “smart cities.” According to him, WUF13 will offer extensive opportunities for the media, including a dedicated media center equipped with high-speed internet, fully equipped workstations, and facilities for press conferences and interviews.
