Pakistan lights up tallest tower in colours of Azerbaijani flag PHOTO
Pakistan's tallest building has been illuminated in the colours of the Azerbaijani flag, honouring the former's Victory Day of November 8.
The Pakistani Embassy in Baku has published this news, as APA reported.
It is the first time that the 70 meters-tall tower lit up in the colours of another flag, which prompted great interest from the residents.
The "Minar-e-Pakistan" is located in the country's second-most populous city of Lahore and has been constructed at the site where the "Lahore Resolution" has been adopted. This political document, which was later renamed "Pakistan Resolution" was the first statement calling for an independent state for the Muslim population of British India and paved the way for Pakistan gaining independence in 1947.
