Pakistan looks to adopt Azerbaijan’s model for convenient public services
Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Information Technology, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, has met with Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations (SAPSSI), to discuss the establishment of “ASAN Xidmət” centres and the implementation of digital reforms in Pakistan.
Highlighting the prime minister’s vision, Khawaja said Islamabad seeks to adopt an internationally recognised model to improve the quality of public services, Caliber.Az reports, citing Business Recorder.
She stressed that Pakistan’s strong political will, readiness for digital technologies, and integrated identification systems make the country well-positioned to implement this model.
Mehdiyev noted that more than 400 “ASAN Xidmət” centres are currently operating successfully across Azerbaijan, with a population satisfaction rate of 99.9% achieved through 28 core service centres.
He informed the Pakistani side about Azerbaijan’s innovative approach to public service delivery, calling it a practical example of quality and accessibility.
The meeting was also attended by senior officials from both countries, including Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov and Second Secretary Behbud Gadali.
