Pakistani minister hails opening of Azerbaijan's trade center for expanding business opportunities
Pakistan’s Minister of Privatization, Abdul Aleem Khan, spoke about his country's strategic ties with Azerbaijan at the opening ceremony of the Azerbaijan Trade House in Lahore.
Aleem Khan highlighted the vast opportunities emerging between Pakistan and Azerbaijan while speaking at the event, Caliber.Az reports citing Pakistan’s Samaa TV.
The minister stated that a new era of trade and innovation is set to begin with the opening of the center in the capital of the Punjab province in the south of the country, based on strong strategic relations and mutual cooperation.
“The future of sustainable development depends on forging solid strategic partnerships. Azerbaijan is an important partner for us in this region. The opening of a trade house will lay the foundation for even stronger economic ties between our two nations. Seeing the flags of Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Pakistan in the souvenir shop is a testament to the deep bond between our countries,” Aleem Khan said.
Khan, whose ministry oversees the task of privatizing federal government assets such as its shares in banks, industrial units, public utilities, oil, gas and transport companies, and infrastructure service providers, congratulated the Azerbaijani ambassador on the occasion, calling it a significant milestone in bilateral relations.
Reflecting on the strength of bilateral ties, the minister noted that he had visited Baku three times over the past year to further strengthen cooperation between the two nations.
