Pashinyan to join Eurasian leaders at Russian industrial forum

03 July 2026 12:22

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will travel to Yekaterinburg, Russia to attend the Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition, where he is scheduled to appear as one of the featured speakers, the event's official program notes.

Pashinyan is expected to take part in the exhibition's main strategic session on July 6, which will focus on modern industry and industrial policy. He will join Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, and Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov for a panel discussion on the future of industrial development.

According to a source, confirmation of Pashinyan's visit came only on the eve of the event, prompting organizers to revise the schedules of high-level participants and adjust the official protocol program.

The Armenian government has not disclosed whether Pashinyan plans to hold any bilateral meetings during the visit. Nevertheless, his participation is widely viewed as a significant signal amid ongoing discussions over the future trajectory of Armenian-Russian relations.

The visit will mark Pashinyan's first trip to Russia since Armenia's parliamentary elections. He has previously expressed his intention to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, although the Kremlin has not confirmed that a separate bilateral meeting is being arranged.

The strategic session at Innoprom, which is expected to feature both Mishustin and Pashinyan, will center on "building innovative and human-centered manufacturing systems."
