PM: Eurasian logistics booms as Middle Corridor transit surge nearly 11%
Transit shipments along the Middle Corridor rose nearly 11% in 2025, reaching 5 million tons, highlighting the route’s growing significance in Eurasian logistics.
Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, made the announcement during a meeting of heads of government and vice presidents of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) countries in Baku, highlighting the strategic importance of the South Caucasus as a crossroads of East–West and North–South routes connecting Europe and Asia, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
“For more effective use of this potential, the development of transport links and expansion of transit capabilities must be among the main priorities. In this regard, it is worth noting the significance of the Middle Corridor, which has recently become one of the most promising, safe, and reliable transport arteries in Eurasia. Transit shipments along this corridor increased nearly 11% in 2025, reaching 5 million tons,” Asadov said.
The Prime Minister also highlighted that Azerbaijan has invested substantial resources in developing the route, establishing modern transport and logistics infrastructure.
