Political strategist: Armenia's globalist forces intend to replace Pashinyan with Avinyan
Taking into account the funds being spent on the promotion of Tigran Avinyan, deputy mayor of Yerevan, the current situation is not a campaign to elect a mayor but a campaign to elect a prime minister.
Political strategist Tigran Kocharyan holds such a view, Caliber.Az reports quoting Armenian media.
"Avinyan's actions are a false start in the election race, not in the mayoral election but in the election of the prime minister. And from this point of view, the incumbent Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has reason to worry," he said.
There was no need to spend so much time and resources, both human and financial, solely for his election as mayor, Kocharyan said. Even as deputy mayor, Avinyan was "solving his own issues" without too much fuss.
"This whole campaign is a campaign for the premiership. Armenia's globalist front and external forces believe Avinyan is their candidate and they will replace Nikol Pashinyan with Tigran Avinyan at the right moment," he said on the air of Channel 5.
According to him, billions of drams are invested in Avinyan, but Avinyan has one big problem - a complete lack of political charisma.
"I don't know what his political technologists are saying, but his voice, his appearance, his behavior repulses people. His frequent public appearances can have the opposite effect," says the political technologist.
