President Putin holds operational meeting with Russian Security Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin has held an operational meeting via videoconference with the permanent members of the Security Council.

According to Gazeta.ru, this was reported on the website of the Kremlin.

"We will discuss today the measures we are taking and must take to overcome the difficulties some countries are creating with regard to Russia," Putin said at the beginning of the meeting.

He added that the unfriendly countries have so far failed to achieve their goals, but it is worth discussing these issues in order to keep abreast of developments.
