Türkiye's AGGÖZ Gimbal 275 system joins security forces inventory VIDEO
Türkiye’s security forces have officially added the AGGÖZ Gimbal 275, a domestically developed electro-optical reconnaissance, surveillance, and targeting system, known as the “national eye,” to their inventory, the Turkish Defence Industries Authority announced.
Designed and manufactured by ASISGUARD, a Turkish defence company specialising in electro-optical surveillance systems, military vehicle electronics, and unmanned aerial vehicles, the AGGÖZ Gimbal 275 has successfully completed comprehensive field tests. The system is intended for use on both fixed and mobile platforms across air, land, and sea, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.
The AGGÖZ Gimbal 275 provides long-range reconnaissance using a high-resolution daytime camera, while its thermal imaging camera enables continuous surveillance in nighttime or adverse weather conditions. The system also includes a laser rangefinder and automatic target tracking capabilities. Advanced image stabilisation technology ensures clear imagery even in high-vibration environments. Its lightweight and durable design allows easy integration across different platforms.

“In today’s combat environment, surveillance and visibility are vital. The AGGÖZ Gimbal 275 serves as a common ‘eye’ for air, land, and sea platforms, enhancing the effectiveness of offensive operations and providing early and accurate threat detection. It will play a key role in border security, counter-terrorism, and reconnaissance missions,” ASISGUARD General Manager Barış Düzgün said.
Düzgün also noted that the system represents a broader effort by the Turkish defence industry to provide domestically developed solutions with high national production content, reinforcing Türkiye’s goal of defence independence. He emphasised that ongoing research and development will continue to improve existing systems and create new capabilities for security forces.
The addition of the AGGÖZ Gimbal 275 reflects Türkiye’s growing focus on indigenous defence technologies capable of meeting both current operational demands and future battlefield requirements.
