Putin-Pashinyan meeting in Moscow scheduled & anticipated - Spokesman
A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, set to take place in Moscow on May 8, is deemed necessary and anticipated by both sides, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov believes.
Peskov acknowledged the busy schedule of the Russian leader, noting that the day's focus was primarily on Eurasian integration, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
He highlighted the commencement of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in Moscow later in the day, initially in a limited format followed by a larger assembly where participants will gather for a group photo. Notably, this expanded session, commemorating the tenth anniversary of the EurAsEC treaty, will include observers from Uzbekistan and Cuba.
Following the signing of final documents at this event, President Putin will host an informal dinner in honor of the heads of delegations from CIS members and the President of Cuba.
Peskov emphasized that amid these engagements, a separate bilateral meeting between President Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan is scheduled. He underscored the significance of this meeting, highlighting its necessity and mutual expectation from both parties.
