Putin, Pashinyan to talk on phone

Russian President Vladimir Putin will have a telephone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Aug. 29.

The announcement came from Russia’s Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov on Aug. 28, Caliber.Az reports.

The conversation will coincide with the 25th anniversary of the signing of the friendship treaty between the two countries.

“Today [Aug. 29] is a very important day for Russia and Armenia: 25 years ago, a friendship treaty was signed between our countries, and today, in the afternoon, President Putin will have a telephone conversation with Pashinyan on this occasion,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

Peskov added that the conversation will also be "a good opportunity to discuss the course of current issues".
