Women less prone to corruption than men, says Armenian PM
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that women are less likely than men to engage in corrupt practices.
Speaking at a panel discussion, Pashinyan said that subjectivity and a “corrupt mindset” are less common among women, citing specific reasons for the difference, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
He noted that women are less accessible to criminal networks and less influenced by criminal subcultures. Pashinyan also described the phrase “let’s handle this the man’s way” as a sign of criminal subculture.
The prime minister added that women bear primary responsibility for upholding justice in Armenia, emphasising that education is a key factor in ensuring justice and combating criminal subcultures.
Currently, women hold the posts of Prosecutor General, Interior Minister, Justice Minister, and head of the Penal Enforcement Service in Armenia.
