Restoring territorial integrity represents ultimate respect for Azerbaijan’s State Flag Statement by Western Azerbaijan Community
On November 9, Azerbaijan celebrates State Flag Day.
In a statement issued by the Western Azerbaijan Community (WAC) for the occasion, it was emphasized that the restoration of the country’s territorial integrity represents the highest expression of respect for the State Flag, Caliber.Az reports.
The WAC noted that under the leadership of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev, significant efforts have been made to promote the State Flag as a sacred national symbol.
The statement highlighted that in 2009, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree establishing November 9 as State Flag Day in Azerbaijan. It also pointed out that the State Flag Square and the State Flag Museum play a vital role in the promotion of national symbols.
"According to the decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev in 2009, 9 November is celebrated annually in Azerbaijan as State Flag Day. The State Flag Square and the State Flag Museum established there occupy a special place in the propaganda of our national symbols. The people of Azerbaijan hold the tricolour flag in high regard as a sacred emblem of freedom, unity, and the collective will of the nation," the statement reads.
Furthermore, the WAC expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for his continued support of the right of Western Azerbaijanis to return to their ancestral lands with dignity and safety, as well as for his respect for the historical symbols of the Azerbaijani people.
