Head of the Consular Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexey Klimov has said that the issue of establishing new Russian diplomatic missions in Azerbaijan is currently being discussed at the political level.

When asked about the potential opening of new consulates in Azerbaijan, including those in Karabakh, Klimov noted that this matter is under political consideration, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.

"As agreements with the Azerbaijani side are finalized, the Consular Department will engage in implementing the related practical steps," he stated.
