Russia, Kazakhstan sign 2027–2028 cooperation plan VIDEO
The foreign ministers of Russia and Kazakhstan have signed a roadmap of joint activities for 2027–2028 during talks in Astana.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also signed the guestbook of honour during the visit.
“Our relations are characterised by high intensity and have a multidimensional, comprehensive nature. Most importantly, they contribute to maintaining stability across the shared Eurasian space,” Lavrov said during negotiations with Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Ermek Kosherbayev.
According to Lavrov, there is “probably no area today that is not firmly covered by interstate dialogue” in relations between the two countries.
He noted that cooperation spans investment and economic ties, including privileged collaboration in sectors such as energy and transport, as well as humanitarian dialogue and coordination on international platforms.
Lavrov last visited Kazakhstan in April 2025, when he took part in a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
