Spokesperson: Russia’s position on Azerbaijani-Armenian relations remains clear
Russia's position on the normalisation of Azerbaijani-Armenian is clear and consistent, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a briefing.
Zakharova said that Moscow’s efforts are aimed at achieving lasting peace in the region and its prosperity, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Zakharova noted that as a result of the efforts of Russian President Vladimir Putin, it was possible to stop the bloodshed in Karabakh in 2020 and 2023.
She further emphasised that the trilateral agreements between Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia remain relevant and serve as a roadmap for ongoing peace efforts. She added that Russia is prepared to assist in reaching a mutually beneficial solution that supports the interests of the South Caucasus countries and their neighbours.
