Russia to restrict temporary stay of Azerbaijani citizens to 90 days per year
From January 1, 2025, new migration regulations will come into force in the Russian Federation.
From this date, the duration of temporary stay for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Russia will be limited to 90 days within a calendar year, according to the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports.
The specified period can be extended if there are grounds provided by the legislation of the Russian Federation (for example, upon obtaining a work permit, submitting an application for temporary residence, etc.).
An Azerbaijani citizen must register at their place of residence within 7 working days of crossing the Russian state border.
The application for registration (migration registration) at the place of residence can be submitted by the host party (a Russian citizen who has provided accommodation, a foreigner residing permanently in the country, a legal entity, or a branch or representative office of a legal entity, etc.) or by the Azerbaijani citizen themselves.
