Russian deputy prime minister visits Azerbaijan for economic talks

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk has arrived in Azerbaijan for a working visit to participate in the 24th session of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between the two countries, the Russian government’s press service announced.

The meeting, scheduled for April 16, will be co-chaired by Overchuk and Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, Caliber.Az reports via Russian government's press service. 

Officials from both sides are expected to review progress made since the commission’s previous session, held in Astrakhan on August 22, 2025, and assess the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The discussions will cover a broad range of topics, including trade, economic ties, cultural exchange, and humanitarian collaboration. Both bilateral and multilateral formats of cooperation are on the agenda as Russia and Azerbaijan seek to deepen their partnership across key sectors.
