Russian journalist calls Azerbaijan’s Karabakh reconstruction global example
Russian journalist Mikhail Gusman has described Azerbaijan’s reconstruction efforts in the Karabakh region as a model for the international community, speaking on the sidelines of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum 13 in Baku.
Gusman said Azerbaijan’s urban planning and redevelopment projects in the liberated territories have drawn broad international attention, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“After victory in the Patriotic War, Azerbaijan faced the important task of restoring these lands and ensuring dignified living conditions for people. Special attention is given to the work carried out under President Ilham Aliyev's leadership. The President regularly visits these territories, monitors progress, and issues relevant instructions. Hosting such an important international forum in Baku demonstrates Azerbaijan's high standing in the global community,” he said.
The World Urban Forum, organised by UN-Habitat, brings together international officials, urban planners, and development experts to discuss sustainable urban development and post-conflict reconstruction.
