Russian sentenced to 12 years for arson of military helicopter
A Russian citizen, Maksim Semyonov, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for setting fire to a military helicopter and a mobile communications company facility.
The head of Russia’s Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, told TASS in an interview marking the agency’s 15th anniversary that Semyonov acted on the instructions of Ukrainian intelligence services, Caliber.Az reports.
Bastrykin emphasised that the committee holds Russian citizens accountable if they “choose the path of aiding Ukrainian intelligence.”
He also noted that the Investigative Committee responds to all crimes committed against Russian citizens by the Kyiv regime or at its instigation. “Criminal law fully allows for holding foreign nationals accountable for crimes committed against Russians,” Bastrykin added.
