Southeast Asian countries order electronic warfare systems
Several Southeast Asian countries have ordered electronic warfare (EW) systems from Russia, tested in the area of military operations in Ukraine, to defend against UAVs.
The mentioned countries remain unknown, TASS reports, citing a source in the defence industry.
"Such REB systems as Krasukha and Sapphire are planned to be delivered to several countries in Southeast Asia. In addition, there is an order for Russian electronic warfare systems in Eastern Europe," says the agency's interlocutor.
The Sapphire complex is used to protect objects from all types of drones. The target is detected by it at a range of up to 30 km, counteraction is carried out at a distance of 5 km and closer. "Krasukha" detects all types of aerial targets, including those moving at extremely low altitudes. The main purpose of the complex is to cover command centres and industrial facilities. One complex consists of two vehicles with a range of over 300 kilometres.
The wheelbase of "Krasukha" is a four-axle all-terrain vehicle "Kamaz", so that the mobile complex can operate in any terrain, at temperatures from minus to plus 50 degrees.
