St. Petersburg’s tourism reps to arrange roadshow in Azerbaijan

Representatives of the tourism sector of Russia’s St. Petersburg City will visit Azerbaijan on August 30.

As part of the visit, the city’s tourism sphere employees will hold a road show entitled "Welcome to St. Petersburg!", Report informs citing Piter.TV.

Moreover, the tour operator "Nevskiye Sezony" intends to organize individual meetings in the B2B format, as well as provide participants with information materials in the form of booklets and souvenirs.

Since February, the St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution "City Tourist Information Bureau" has placed tenders related to the presentation of hotels, travel agencies and museums of the Northern capital in neighbouring countries, Asia and the East.

Thus, in addition to the CIS countries, presentations are also planned to be held in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India and Vietnam. On average, the government was ready to allocate from 20 to 40 million rubles ($330,000 – $660,000) for each of the trips.

At the end of July, the St. Petersburg Tourism Development Committee sent representatives of the hospitality industry to 2 megacities of Kazakhstan - Almaty and Nur-Sultan.
