Sudan condemns Iran's drone strikes in diplomatic call with Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation with Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Muhi al-Din Salem Ahmed, who condemned Iran’s strikes on Nakhchivan.
During the call, Bayramov detailed the March 5 drone strike by Iran on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, which caused damage to civilian infrastructure and injured people, Caliber.Az reports, citing the ministry.
He emphasised that such actions violate Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Bayramov also noted that Baku has demanded explanations from Tehran, official apologies, and urgent measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
