Top Azerbaijani military official visits Serbia to discuss cooperation PHOTO
An official visit by an Azerbaijani delegation led by First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel General Kerim Veliyev, has begun in Serbia.
The visit was made at the invitation of Colonel General Milan Mojsilović, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Serbia, Caliber.Az reported, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence.
The delegation first laid a wreath at the monument to National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Tashmaydan Park, Belgrade, paying tribute to his enduring legacy.
During the visit, Colonel General Veliyev held discussions with his Serbian counterpart on the prospects for developing military cooperation between the two countries. The Azerbaijani delegation also participated in a military parade in Belgrade.
The events were attended by Kamil Khasiyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Serbia.
