Top security officials of Baku and Ankara hold strategic meeting PHOTO

On May 13, Azerbaijan’s Secretary of the Security Council, Colonel General Ramil Usubov, held a meeting with a delegation led by the Secretary General of Türkiye’s National Security Council, Okay Memiş.

The Azerbaijani Security Council told Caliber.Az that the meeting was also attended by Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration.

Ramil Usubov expressed hope that Okay Memiş’s visit and the meetings held as part of it, particularly his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, would contribute to strengthening peace and security in both Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

Okay Memiş emphasised that such discussions play a significant role in the development of cooperation in the field of security. He stated that he would make every effort to deepen ties between the relevant institutions of the two countries.
