Turkish defence company chief: TEKNOFEST triggers mental revolution
Selcuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of TEKNOFEST and the Board of Trustees of the T3 Foundation has said that TEKNOFEST, a festival of aviation, space and technology, has made a wave in the world and caused a mental revolution.
He made the remarks speaking at the opening of the festival in Izmir, Türkiye, Caliber.Az reports.
According to him, high technology leads to changes and stimulates new world achievements.
Bayraktar also noted that humanity sometimes cannot cope with the social consequences of the rapid and irregular movement of high technology.
"During the coronavirus pandemic, we all saw a global insufficiency, particularly on the issue of ventilator production with basic technology. At that time, the world had long questioned this simple but fatal insufficiency," said TEKNOFEST's Chairman of the Board.
Bayraktar pointed out that expanding the boundaries of knowledge helps to understand the depth of the universe.
"TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival covered the world like a giant wave and triggered a mental revolution never seen before," the TEKNOFEST Board chairman emphasised.
Bayraktar expressed hope that the millions of young people who have applied for technology competitions will achieve great success in all other civilian fields, as Türkiye's world-famous drones have achieved.
Türkiye has become a role model through its national technology, he said.
"Türkiye is engaged in research and development, manufacturing and development in all fields. Our young people are creating new fields by combining industrial expertise with high technology and artificial intelligence. We are the ones who will breathe new life into these new fields and the changing world," Bayraktar concluded.
The third and last stage of this year's TEKNOFEST, the world's largest aviation, space and technology festival, kicked off in Izmir, Türkiye, on 27 September.
The festival was organised by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3) and the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology. Anadolu Agency is the global media partner of the event.
