Turkish delegation wraps up productive visit to Azerbaijan PHOTO
The visit of the delegation of the Turkish National Defence University to Azerbaijan as part of the Foreign Study Tour has ended.
As part of the trip, the Turkish delegation visited the Land Forces and the Combined Arms Army, Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
Deputy Minister of Defence – Commander of the Land Forces, Lieutenant General Hikmat Mirzayev met with the Turkish delegation.
Prospects for the development of cooperation with the fraternal country in the field of military education were discussed, as well as a detailed exchange of views on a number of issues of mutual interest was held at the meeting.
As part of the trip, the Turkish delegation also visited the liberated territories and the military units stationed here.
The guests were provided with detailed information about the consequences and destruction of vandalism committed by the Armenian armed formations against Azerbaijani people during the occupation, as well as about the restoration work carried out in the liberated territories under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
The Turkish delegation that visited commando units and other military units got acquainted with the conditions, created for military personnel, and the military equipment available in the armament of Azerbaijan Army Units.
Then a meeting was held with the servicemen.
The delegation was informed about the combat path of the units that successfully participated in the battles for liberating Azerbaijani lands and ensuring territorial integrity.
Then the Turkish representatives visited the Combined Arms Army.
Deputy Minister of Defence - Commander of the Combined Arms Army, Colonel General Karam Mustafayev met with the Turkish delegation.
The current state of cooperation in the field of military education between Azerbaijan and Türkiye was discussed, and the importance of such meetings for mutual exchange of experience was emphasized at the meeting.
