Turkish media covers President Aliyev’s push for stronger ties with Central Asia PHOTO
Turkish media has extensively reported on the recent Meeting of the Heads of State from Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan in Astana, emphasizing its importance for regional cooperation.
The media highlighted Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's remarks during the meeting, focusing on his strong support for deepening and broadening cooperation with Central Asian countries, Caliber.Az reports via Azertag.
Aliyev's speech included a call for increased collaboration in defence and security matters.
Beyaz Gazete reported that President Aliyev highlighted the significant role of Central Asian countries in the restoration of territories in Azerbaijan that were liberated from Armenian occupation. He specifically thanked the leadership of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan for their contributions to various reconstruction projects in the Fuzuli and Aghdam districts.
TRT AVAZ TV channel noted that Aliyev also emphasized Azerbaijan's readiness to back joint regional initiatives aimed at addressing the impacts of climate change.
Additionally, the President stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in the transportation sector, particularly noting the growing significance of the Middle Corridor, which includes the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad and the Alat International Trade Port.
