Türkiye approves agreement signed with Azerbaijan, Georgia On streamlining customs procedures on BTK railway
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has ratified the "Agreement between the governments of Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Georgia on preliminary data exchange to facilitate customs transit operations within the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad project" signed in Baku on August 18, 2022.
The confirmation of ratification finds itself on the official gazette signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Report informs.
The agreement was signed on the Azerbaijani side by First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Acting Chairman Shahin Bagirov, on the Turkish side by Deputy Minister of Trade, Head of the Customs Department Rza Tuna Turagay, and on the Georgian side by Director General of the Revenue Service of this country Levan Kakava.
The document aims to implement electronic exchange of primary data to facilitate customs procedures for goods transported in transit on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad, which passes through the territory of all three countries.
