Türkiye sends medical aid to Lebanon amidst escalating tensions
Türkiye dispatched medical supplies to Lebanon via a military cargo plane, which landed at Rafic Hariri International Airport on September 25.
The aircraft carrying aid materials was warmly welcomed by Lebanon's Minister of Health, Firass Abiad, and Turkish Ambassador to Beirut, Ali Barış Ulusoy, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
Upon arrival, the supplies were officially handed over to Lebanese officials.
Recent Israeli attacks have led to an increased influx of patients in hospitals across Lebanon, exacerbating the ongoing shortage of medical equipment in the country.

Notably, on the morning of September 23, Israeli airstrikes targeted settlements in southern and eastern Lebanon as part of a preemptive offensive against Hezbollah's military assets, including strikes in Beirut.
The ongoing conflict has resulted in a sharp increase in casualties, with reports indicating 558 deaths and 1,835 injuries, including 50 children and 94 women. Tragically, four ambulance workers were also killed when their vehicles were hit during the strikes.
Additionally, Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut has seen the cancellation of over 40 flights, disrupting operations for international airlines, including Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Etihad Airways, amidst the escalating hostilities.
