Türkiye has successfully tested its TAYFUN ballistic missile and continues testing various versions of the coutnry's longest-range missile, developed entirely with national resources.
Commenting on the latest successful test, Secretary of the Turkish Presidency of Defence Industries Haluk Görgün said that “the sky has once again witnessed the will of the nation,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Anadolu Agency.
He noted that TAYFUN completed another key stage, demonstrating a successful launch that expands the country’s defence capabilities and strengthens its deterrence potential.

Görgün emphasised that Türkiye is continuously enhancing its arsenal with new systems and reinforcing defence with multi-layered, fully domestic solutions, thanking the Roketsan team for contributing to this milestone and describing the demonstrated capabilities as clear proof of Türkiye’s determination to protect its future.
Roketsan CEO Murat İkindi added that the missile is fully ready for deployment, with the latest test confirming its ability to strike targets with high precision.
The Tayfun missile is a domestically developed Turkish short-range ballistic missile built by state contractor Roketsan and coordinated by Türkiye’s Presidency of Defence Industries. It has completed multiple test launches since 2022 and entered serial production after successful tests in 2023.
Its range is estimated to exceed 280 kilometres in standard configuration and up to roughly 800 kilometres with a pre-formed warhead, making it the longest‑range missile in Türkiye's arsenal and advancing the country’s indigenous strike capabilities.
At the IDEF 2025 defence fair, Türkiye unveiled the Tayfun Block‑4, a hypersonic-capable variant of the system with enhanced size, speed and potential strike range, underscoring its strategy to expand long-range precision strike options.
