Unholy Bishop Pargev Martirosyan Made fortune in Karabakh, now extorting money of US
Pro-Pashinyan journalist and blogger Roman Baghdasaryan has made another high-profile sensational exposure. He once again steamrolled over Gurgen Martirosyan, better known as "Archbishop Pargev," who claimed to be the Primate of the self-proclaimed "Artsakh" Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
To recall, Martirosyan, who fled Karabakh, made his fortune during the occupation by selling apartments in Shusha. He also imposed tribute on the entire Armenian population of Karabakh - all the funds from religious rituals went into the pocket of "Father Pargev". However, as soon as Azerbaijan liberated its territories and the area of power of the "archbishop" shrank like shagreen leather, he immediately fled Karabakh under the pretext of "taking care of his health".
However, according to Baghdasaryan, "Father Pargev" fled to the US for the sake of a well-fed and comfortable life.
"For 2 years the Telegram Channels have been lying about the fact that Pargev is in serious condition and is undergoing heart surgery. Father Pargev is a billionaire and does not need the money. But for a batch of documents, he doesn't shy away from deceiving US authorities and pretending to be indigent. He gets money through the WELFARE system. WELFARE is the generic name for the welfare benefits that are part of the US welfare system for the poorest citizens. The programs cover individuals and families who, for one reason or another in a market economy, do not earn enough to maintain a certain standard of living.
Do you believe that Pargev has no money for groceries and cannot ask Bako Sahakyan or Catholicos Garegin to pay for his groceries?
P.S. This man swore to the people of Karabakh that he would live on their land until the end of his life. How much money he collected in Karabakh and in what affairs he was involved! Now he should support the people, not sit in the USA and fraudulently collect documents," Baghdasaryan wrote.
