US envoy: Türkiye–Azerbaijan energy corridor poised to reshape region
The energy corridor stretching between Syria and Türkiye, as well as between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, holds the potential to become highly profitable in the coming years, US Ambassador to Türkiye Tom Barrack said.
According to Anadolu, Barrack delivered these remarks at the 2025 Middle East and Africa Summit, organised by the Milken Institute think tank.
He emphasised that Türkiye’s relations with both Azerbaijan and Armenia play a critical role in shaping regional dynamics. The ambassador noted that following the signing of a peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan, “there will be hope for the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border.”
“Extending the route from the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean will open the way to resolving all regional energy issues,” Barrack added.
