Uzbek airline launches new flights to Azerbaijan
Uzbek airline FLYONE Asia has begun operating regular flights from Tashkent to Baku and Ganja, as Azerbaijan’s international air route network continues to expand with the entry of new carriers
Under the new arrangement, Tashkent–Baku–Tashkent flights will operate once a week on Wednesdays to Heydar Aliyev International Airport, while Tashkent–Ganja–Tashkent flights will be operated on Sundays to Ganja International Airport, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
The launch of FLYONE Asia operations in Azerbaijan is described as another important step in the development of the country’s aviation sector and the expansion of international air connectivity. The new services are expected to create additional opportunities for passengers, strengthen interregional ties, and increase mutual passenger traffic.
For Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the cooperation marks further expansion of its international partner network and reinforces its position as a leading aviation hub in the region.
For Ganja International Airport, the new partnership is particularly significant, as it establishes the city’s first direct air link with Tashkent. The route is expected to improve international transport accessibility for the region and support the development of tourism and business connections.
Tashkent is considered a strategically important city for Azerbaijan’s relations with Central Asian countries. The new flights are expected to further strengthen economic, tourism, and humanitarian ties between the two countries and enhance mobility between the regions.
