Western Azerbaijani Community condemns French MEP Loiseau’s attempts to undermine Baku-Yerevan peace process
The Western Azerbaijan Community has strongly reacted to the statements made by French MEP Nathalie Loiseau in an interview with the Armenian news outlet Armenpress.
According to the Western Azerbaijan Community, Loiseau, who is traditionally seen as biased against Azerbaijan, has voiced remarks that undermine the peace process, per Caliber.Az.
"In her interview, Nathalie Loiseau, on the one hand, expresses concern about Armenia's sovereignty, and on the other hand, instructs Armenia on what position it should take in negotiations with Azerbaijan. Loiseau urges Armenia not to discuss the issue of Western Azerbaijanis' right of return and the opening of regional communications, clearly demonstrating that her true intention is to prevent the establishment of lasting peace between the two countries," the community said in a statement.
"Loiseau once again proves her unlawful approach by making unreasonable demands for the release of those suspected of committing numerous war crimes and crimes against humanity, including the Khojaly genocide. The Western Azerbaijan Community condemns Loiseau's position, which is directed against Western Azerbaijanis and the establishment of peace," the statement concluded.
