Workers killed in explosion at rocket factory in Türkiye
The Ministry of National Defence reported that 5 workers were martyred in the explosion that occurred at the Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE) Rocket and Explosive Factory in the Elmadağ district of Türkiye's Ankara.
In the statement made by the Ministry of National Defence, the following was recorded about the explosion:
"An explosion occurred at the MKE Rocket and Explosives Factory in the Elmadağ district of Ankara. As a result of the explosion, 5 of our workers were martyred. A judicial and administrative investigation has been initiated regarding the incident."
Firefighters and ambulances were dispatched to the factory, A News reports.
Efforts to rescue the 5 people who were under the rubble continue.
The factory operates to meet the rocket and explosive needs of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Interior.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has expressed condolences to Türkiye over the deaths of workers.

"We are extremely saddened by the news of the explosion at the Elmadağ plant. May Almighty God rest the souls of the victims of this tragic accident, we wish healing to the wounded and express solidarity with our Turkish brothers," the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a post on its Twitter account.
