World Bank: Azerbaijan can further develop digital skills

World Bank (WB) Country Manager for Azerbaijan Sarah Michael has said that Azerbaijan can further develop its digital skills through simplified documentation service providers ASAN Xidmət [State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations] and DOST [Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Security].

"As you know, the services of ASAN Xidmət can be used not only in Baku but almost anywhere in the country. If today people can receive services directly at these centres, this infrastructure may allow them to receive these services digitally in the future as well," Report quotes Michael as saying on May 18.

WB representative noted that to speed up people's access to digital services, they need to be informed at ASAN Xidmət centres.

"If citizens know that they can get a service online, it will create an incentive for them. The role of information is important in this respect," she added.
