Yerevan media: Armenia lost over 300 soldiers in recent border clash
The exact number of dead, missing, and captured Armenian soldiers as a result of clashes on the border with Azerbaijan that flared up on the night of September 12 to 13, 2022 is still unknown.
“It is no longer possible to hide the fact that there are more than 300 victims. On Independence Day [September 21], 11 bodies of Armenian soldiers were buried, yesterday [September 22] - 60, and today there will be much more burials,” Caliber.Az reports, quoting the Yerevan-based newspaper Iravunk.
According to the newspaper, there are still unidentified bodies in the Heratsi morgue, and the security forces urge relatives of the identified servicemen bodies not to bury them in the Yerablur pantheon.
“The reason is that they allegedly do not want the Yerablur territory to expand so much, and persuade them to bury the guys in family graves,” the newspaper writes.
