Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran to meet to discuss North-South corridor
Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Seyed Abbas Mousavi has said that representatives of Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan will meet soon to discuss transit and customs issues, as well as the North-South International Transport Corridor and emphasised the importance of the projects.
“The port of Astara is one of the important key points of the North-South International Transport Corridor. After the implementation of the projects, it will have more regional and global significance,” Mousavi said during a visit to Astara, one of the northern border ports of Iran, in which a new bridge between Iran and Azerbaijan passes and warehouses are located, Tasnim reports.
"The heads of the corresponding agencies of the two countries will meet soon to analyse the current implementation of the projects and discuss other issues," he added.
